Kim Cattrall, Celebrity Chair for Lighthouse International's POSH® Sale, invites you to be a part of the Hottest Sale in Town!

The POSH Sale has been New York's leading fashion fundraiser for 35 years; offering new and gently used designer clothing and accessories for women, men and children. Integral to the success of this important fundraiser are personal donations from fashionably philanthropic individuals as well fashion houses such as Oscar de la Renta, Shoshanna, Coach, Cynthia Steffe, Dana Buchman. You too could join this prestigious list of donors. Any product you may be willing to donate would be a wonderful addition to this year's sale.

Every year the POSH Sale attracts nearly 7,500 of New York's most avid shoppers. Guests at the benefit preview, which will take place on May 14th, routinely line up around the block for the chance to be one of the first shoppers in the door. The four day event continues through May 17th as individuals in search of designer fashions and accessories at discount prices flock to our 59th Street headquarters.

Typical donations consist of samples, current or prior season pieces, overstock or marked-out-of stock items, RTVs and gently used designer clothing from personal wardrobes and corporate inventories. Proceeds from the POSH Sale support Lighthouse International's programs and services for people who are visually impaired and blind; so all donations are 100% tax deductible. POSH even offers free Manhattan pickup service for all donations! You will receive a written acknowledgement for tax purposes, in addition to public recognition via a mention on our website. Donations for this year's sale will be accepted through April 30, 2008.

Description: Iguatemi FilmeFashion is a film festival that unveils the relationship between fashion and movies. The first edition took place in 2003 and the theme was "The Most Famous Designers in Movies." It presented the best costumes created by Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent and Jean Paul Gaultier, among others.

Solange Rabello Art Gallery, localizada no coração do Miami Design District aposta num projeto inovador, reunindo tres artistas totalmente diferentes e que de comum tem apenas a origem, pois são brasileiros. A integraçao dos tres valoriza a diversidade, mas  ao mesmo tempo a individualidade. O encontro destas artes é  a lição do contraste. Uma alquimia diferente em cada exposicao.

 

Sao eles, brasileiros e acima de tudo totalmente internacionais – a mineira Carmem Gusmao, de Fort Lauderdale , a baiana Rose Lobo de Los Angeles e o carioca Ricardo Koebsch de Paris.

              

No proximo dia 11 de agosto, a coletiva “Circo das Fantasias”sera uma experiencia única. Uma exposição numa atmosfera colorida e divertida, como um grande circo. De um lado os artistas e seus trabalhos com personagens abstratos, simbólicos e impressionistas. Do outro o público, protagonista de um grande teatro.

 

Neste dia 11 de agosto, a Galeria sera a sede de uma praça cultural com caricaturas, sketches, fotografias “ lambe-lambe” e uma grande tela interativa – Venha inspirado, porque nesta noite voce tambem vai dar suas pinceladas !!

Carmem Gusmao nasceu em Minas Gerais, cresceu em Belém do Pará ,na Amazonia.Tem obras em vários museus e galerias ao redor do mundo .Seu estilo,impressionismo abstrato foi fortemente influenciado pela cultura indígena,pelo barro,pelas aguas que correm nas margens transformadas em burnt siena,de uma Amazonia colorida, berço de inspiraçào.Sofreu tb influência do barroco mineiro,do latin,das ladainhas,psicologia e filosofia.Atualmente,vive e trabalha na Florida.

 

Rose Lobo é carioca de família baiana, nascida em plena terça feira de carnaval.

Sua arte é simbólica, interativa e decorativa. Em algodão, ou em qualquer elemento encontrado no caminho, a coreógrafa, cenógrafa e bailarina registra suas cores, dinamismo e movimento pelas passarelas da vida .

Ricado Koebsch has been living and working in France as an artist since 1988. He uses various techniques to integrate the past and the present, including techniques of prominent 18^th century artists that are perfectly suited for modern artistic expression.
