You can also play with a suede jacket, not jeans though. It has to have a casual look without being too sporty.

The classic trench coat is the right piece to invest your money on. Look for trenches with a fitted silhouette and a modern finishing. Just because is a classic piece you don't have to look old.
A high-end zip up jacket is perfect for a Spring day at the office - wear with a shirt and tie.

Shirt/Sweater trends for the fashion forward GUY:

Worn with leather shoes, polos or button downs, and a classic cardigan. Mix and match colors and textures. It is preppy with an edgy feel to it!
Check the Marc Jacobs cardigans out. Perfect for Spring days - you will be right on the trends.

Shirt/Sweater trends for the more conservative professional:

Stick with the classic brands in this case. There is no time for errors. The good news is that these brands are now offering slim fit shirts, excess fabric is dated.
Make sure that you will look good when taking your suit jacket off, although shot sleeves shirts are not allowed.
Spring allows you to play with colors and ties. Push the envelope - it is Springtime!

Typically worn slim to very skinny, black jeans have been a street favorite this season and have remained a major denim theme on the runway. Whether dressed up or down, this is a versatile trend with solid staying power
With the recent opening of the Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream Boutique in NYC, the streets of Soho were packed young guys wearing their signature denim lines. Guys were strutting their stuff in the "ice cream running dog" jean in orange, white and even glow-in-the-dark versions! A great new graphic treatment for denim that can run through fall and into spring!
Moving away from summer’s slouchy silhouettes, fall denims present a clean tailored line. From fabric manufacturers to runway collections, the key aspects are: deep indigo hues, flat and pressed finish, and sharp sculpted cuts.
