Rosa Cha to Open Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Miami Swim

“Sun King” Amir Slama is scheduled to launch his splashy swimwear label Rosa Cha at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Miami Swim Shows with a special event.  This is the third time that the label has participated in IMG’S runway event, which takes place during the swim industry’s annual trade show in Miami, Florida. Rosa Cha will unveil the Resort 2008 swimwear collection on Wednesday, June 11th, 2007 at 6:00 pm in the Pool Deck tent at the Raleigh hotel.  Instead of a traditional runway show, designer Amir Slama will host a party for buyers, press, and industry VIP’S, which includes informal modeling, a DJ and cocktails to celebrate the Rosa Cha Swimwear 2008 collection.

Known for making a splash catwalk with outrageous collections, the most notable models, and theatrical sets, Rosa Cha will hold a traditional runway show with the next fashion week in New York for Spring 2008.

For over fifteen years, the Brazilian label Rosa Cha has been coveted by models, celebrities and jet-setters alike for its highly styled collection of swim, resort and ready to wear.  Renowned as the “Sun King” by the industry, designer Amir Slama has transformed casual beachwear with intricate silhouettes, luxurious fabrics, original prints and couture-minded embellishments. 

Currently, Rosa Cha has over twenty-two stores in Brazil, as well as stores in St. Tropez, Portugal, Miami and Lisbon. The collection can also be found at 380 multi-brand boutiques in Brazil and at 120 international high-end stores.
